DO YOUR PLAYERS
REALLY FIGHT FOR YOUR COLOURS?

A report from Bundesliga 2 match ~ Holstein Kiel 0:1 FC St. Pauli,
September 19th 2017
It was the first game between both team since 7 years,
therefore we were looking forward to this game. Actually they are not our
biggest rival, but every game had a sense of tension inside. But this fixture
this time was special: A couple of days before the main flag from Kiel Ultras
"Supside“ has been stolen. They are accussing us for this. If it true or
not, we will see..
We met in our
stadium with 300 people and traveled by train. We were sure that Kiel wanted
some kind of revenge. To give them this opportunity we walked from Kiel central
station to their stadium. Around 1 hour walk. They did not appear. Our train
had a delay, so we arrived 6:15pm to enter the stadium. Kick off was 6:30pm,
but postponed for 10min. What happened?
Around half an
hour before kick off, several Kiel guys (probably 30-40) invaded the pitch and
run to the away sector. The police was quick and only 5 guys made it to our
supporters, while the others decided to run away from the stewards and the
police.
Keep in mind,
the active supporter base was not even in the stadium. I can assure you, we
would have jumped over the fence to defend our flags. But we had special
fighters this night. Our players and staff run behind the invaders and took our
banners back!
They understood
the meaning of a flag, plus their strong identification with the club. Yes, WE
DO NOT HAVE AN INVESTOR OR AN OWNER. But you know what? WE ARE PROUD OF THAT.
Our club BELONGS TO US and not to a business man. It is important that everyone
that represents our club on the pitch, loves and fights for us.
The club
history, the idiology, the fans. Every player, before they get signed, is
confronted with these things. We choose players that fit to our club and are
ready to die for us the pitch. Our stadium atmosphere is infamous in the entire
country. Players, fans and coaches from other clubs respects us. What do you
want more? I am proud to support this team.
Our players took
revenge: 1:0 win and 3 points are going to St. Pauli!
Regards from
your friend from Germany,
Luca
P.S: I send some
pictures to show you our players in action. The grey suited guy is Sami Allagui.
Our striker from Tunisia. He defended the banner too. What do you think of
that? Being a professional is much more than earning money and hairstyling!
Your club should be your life! It os not only a "short destination",
where you play and earn money. Live and breathe the club!
ULTRAS!
